Welcome to Rylaa, a SaaS solution that respects your personal data. Protecting your privacy is a top priority for us. This page is intended to clearly and transparently explain our policy regarding the collection, use, and protection of your data, as well as the choices available to you when using Rylaa’s services. This Privacy Policy applies to the information collected by Rylaa when you use our website, services and features, browser extensions, our API available through the application, or when you interact with us in any other way.

To access the features of the Rylaa Service, creating a user account is required. During registration via our form, we ask you to provide certain personal and non-personal information.

Once logged into your dashboard, a Profile section is available where you can complete, modify, or leave empty certain fields related to your personal information. Filling in these additional details is not mandatory for using our services. We may also collect some personal information when you contact us by email, for example to ask questions, provide feedback, or request support.

Privacy and Data Sharing: Your personal information remains strictly confidential and is never sold to third parties. It may only be shared with external service providers to the extent necessary to operate the service (e.g., hosting, email, analytics), or when required by law. Your information is used solely to provide, improve, and secure the Rylaa service and to respond to your requests.

This may include, among others: email address, account identifiers, user-generated content, usage data, and technical information such as IP address and device type.

Our Service is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under 16. If we discover that personal data has been collected from a user under 16, we will immediately delete such data from our systems. Parents or legal guardians who believe that their child under 16 has provided personal information through our Service can contact us directly via email at rylaa@outlook.com to request deletion or to address any concerns.

We take children’s privacy seriously and ensure that our systems and processes comply with the GDPR requirements regarding minors.

Your personal data is never sold to third parties and is only used to provide, maintain, improve, and secure the Rylaa service.

We ask that you do not submit or disclose any sensitive personal data through the Rylaa Service.

Sensitive personal data includes, but is not limited to: racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, health information, biometric or genetic data, criminal background, or any government-issued identification numbers.

Rylaa does not require, request, or intentionally process sensitive personal data to provide its services. The Service is designed exclusively for productivity, project management, and related metrics.

If you voluntarily choose to submit sensitive personal data as part of user-generated content or through communications with us, you explicitly consent to the processing of such data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not consent, you must not submit such information through the Service.

We reserve the right to remove any content containing sensitive personal data if its presence poses a legal, security, or compliance risk.

We use cookies and similar technologies to track activity, improve the Service, and remember your preferences.

• Essential Cookies: required to provide core functionality, such as logging into your account.
• Preferences / Functionality Cookies: store your settings, such as dark mode, theme, or language preferences.
• Analytics / Performance Cookies: track usage patterns to help us improve performance and user experience. This may include anonymized IP addresses.

You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, but some Service features may not function correctly if cookies are blocked.

We rely on a number of trusted third-party service providers to operate and improve the Rylaa Service. These providers may have access to certain personal or non-personal information to perform their services, but are strictly limited to using it for the purposes of providing the service.

• Vercel: hosting of the Next.js application, ensuring website availability and performance. They process user account data and analytics information as needed to operate the platform.
• Hostinger: domain hosting and server infrastructure management. Only technical data required for hosting and service uptime is shared.
• Supabase: database hosting for user accounts and content uploaded to the service. Personal data such as email, account ID, and content may be stored here securely.
• Analytics providers (Google Search Console, optional other tools): collect aggregated and anonymized usage data to monitor platform performance and improve user experience. No personally identifiable information is sold or shared.

Other internal tools and development libraries (e.g., TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Prisma, ESLint) are used to build and maintain the platform. These do not share personal user data externally.

Privacy and Data Sharing: We do not sell personal data. All third-party sharing is strictly limited to what is necessary to provide, maintain, and improve the service, or to comply with legal obligations. Users’ personal data can also be requested for deletion or export, as described in Section 10.

If you wish to opt out of analytics tracking, you may do so through your browser settings or by following the opt-out options provided by the analytics services.

We do not sell personal data. In the future, if paid features are introduced using services like Stripe, payment details will not be stored on our servers.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account at any time via the Settings section or by contacting us at rylaa@outlook.com.

Some logs and operational data may be retained temporarily for security, fraud prevention, and operational purposes. These temporary logs do not contain personal information beyond what is necessary for these purposes and are deleted regularly.

Once your account is deleted, all personal data associated with it, including profile information and service usage data, will be permanently removed from our systems.

We do not sell your personal data. Your information may be disclosed only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: Your personal data may be shared with trusted third-party providers necessary to operate the Service, including hosting (Vercel, Hostinger), database services (Supabase), email delivery (SendGrid or Mailgun), analytics (Google Analytics, optional), and any future providers required for the Service. These providers process data strictly to provide their services.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the company or its assets, personal data may be transferred as part of the transaction. You will continue to be protected under this Privacy Policy.
• Legal Obligations: Personal data may be disclosed to comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, or government requests.
• With Consent: Any other disclosure will occur only if you explicitly consent to it.

By using Rylaa, you acknowledge and accept that your data may be shared under these circumstances, always in compliance with GDPR and with the aim of providing, improving, and securing the Service.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data.

• All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS).
• Passwords are securely hashed before storage; plain-text passwords are never kept.
• Data submitted through forms (e.g., profile, tasks, projects) is validated and protected using reliable libraries to prevent injection or malicious inputs.
• Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
• Regular backups and monitoring help prevent data loss and detect unauthorized access.
• While we take every reasonable precaution, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

The Rylaa Service is available worldwide. Your personal data may be transferred to and processed by our service providers in other countries, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA). We ensure that any international transfer of data is done in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR, to protect your privacy.

If your country is not listed in the Profile section when filling out your account information, you may leave this field blank. By using the Service from your country, you agree to the transfer and processing of your data according to the international data protection standards described in this Privacy Policy.

We take reasonable measures to ensure your data is secure during international transfers. Data is only shared with trusted service providers for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, such as hosting, analytics, or support.

By using Rylaa from any location, you consent to the international processing of your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

As a user of Rylaa, you have the following rights regarding your personal data under the GDPR:

• Access your data: You can view all your personal data directly in your Profile section, including: Avatar, First name, Last name, Email address, Country, Street address, City, State / Province, Zip / Postal code, All content created in the service, including tasks, projects, and notes, Usage statistics and preferences, Metrics, including project/task counts, feature usage, session duration, and other performance data.
• Correct inaccurate data: All information in the Profile section can be modified by you. Password changes are handled in the Settings section.
• Delete your data: You can permanently delete your account directly from the Settings section. All personal data, including profile and service usage data, will be removed. No residual data will be retained.
• Export your data: You may request an export of your personal and service usage data, stored in structured tables in our database (Supabase). This includes all information from your Profile, Settings, and usage of the service. Data exports will be provided in a standard format (e.g., CSV) within 1 to 30 days.
